A replica of a rubber helmet band. Made from a piece of rubber tape glued together at the ends. Original bands were most often made from used inner tubes or bicycle tires. Worn on the helmet, they served as a support for improvised plant camouflage.

These types of helmet bands were a non-regulation, improvised element of the equipment of Marine Corps soldiers. They were very common until 1968, when the Corps finally received US Army helmet bands.
