A perfect replica of the German Army folding shovel. This model was introduced in 1938 and was used until the end of the conflict. Despite their modern design at the time, this type of shovel were not popular equipment. They never completely replaced the simpler Feldspaten shovel model from use. An interesting fact is that the design of this shovel was copied and implemented in the US Army under the designation M43.
