A perfect replica of a German canteen strap, designed for paramilitary organizations and the Hitler Youth. The strap is made of natural, vegetable-tanned, smooth leather in a cognac color. The snap hook and buckle are made of steel. The larger buckle is galvanized, the smaller one is blackened. Unbleached, waxed natural threads are used for sewing. FOR REENACTMENT?
Such straps were used in paramilitary organizations and the Hitler Youth from the 1930s until the end of World War II. HJ canteens had a smaller capacity than a standard military canteen.
