Robert Lubstein Enterprise was founded in 1902. During the history it was making caps for Prussian Army, Reichswehr, Wehrmacht, Nazi Party, Police and all the SS branches. After the war EREL was producing Soviet caps as a reparations, and caps for Eastern German Army and People's Police. In 1940 EREL patented a special ventilated sweatband, used exclusiely in their caps.
