The German Cross was established on 28th September of 1941 by Adolf Hitler, it was one of the higher military decorations of the Third Reich. There were 2 classes of decorations: gold - for combat achievements and silver, for logistical or support services. The decoration was colloquially called the "planted egg of Hitler".
