A faithful replica of the Austro-Hungarian World War I dog tag known as the "Legitimationsblattkapsel". The presented early war model is made of brass in the form of a small flat capsule. Inside there is a folded paper identification card "Legitimationsblatt", on which data such as surname, first name, year of birth, religion, military assignment and place of birth, etc. is entered. It has an eyelet for a string.

REENACTMENT?
This type of dog tag was used by the Austro-Hungarian Army during World War I. Due to material shortages, in 1917 was replaced by a model made of galvanized steel.
