A faithful replica of the French Chauchat machine-gun magazine pouch/bandolier. The bag is made of beige cotton fabric. It is closed with a one-piece flap using a leather strap that ties to a brass D-Ring located on the bottom of the bag. Three leather belt loops are sewn onto the back of the bag, allowing the bag to be attached to a main belt. A 5 cm wide canvas and leather strap, sewn around the main compartment, serves as a support.

This type of magazine pouch entered service in the French Army in 1915 with the introduction of the "Fusil Mitrailleur Modèle 1915 CSRG" light machine-gun, popularly known as the Chauchat. The bag was used to carry four magazines and a cleaning kit. The bags, along with the weapon, were also used by allied armies. Besides the French, the largest users were Poland, the United States, and Belgium.
