FOR REENACTMENT?
The ID card, model 1928, was the first nationwide, uniform identity document introduced in the Second Polish Republic. It was established by the Regulation of the President of the Republic of Poland of March 16, 1928, on the Registration and Control of Population Movement, and came into effect on January 1, 1929. The ID card was not mandatory. Many citizens who had no contact with banks, courts, or offices did not have one. This model, with minor regional modifications, survived until the outbreak of World War II in 1939, forming the basis for later registration systems.
