FOR REENACTMENT?
The Parachute Badge (in both standard and combat versions) was established by order of the Commander-in-Chief on June 20, 1941. On November 20, 1944 (two months after Operation Market-Garden), by decision of the Minister of National Defense, the Combat Parachute Badge was amended to include a gold wreath in the talons of an eagle (in the previous combat version of the badge, the eagle had gold talons and a beak). The Combat Parachute Badge was awarded to soldiers who participated in a combat parachute action.
