A replica of the TCU "Tropical Combat Uniform" uniform blouse, commonly known as "jungle fatigues." This replica represents the first uniform pattern approved in 1963. The blouse is made of cotton poplin fabric in the OG-107 color scheme. The blouse has four front pockets with button closures (the upper pockets are sewn in at an angle for easier access). A distinctive feature of the 1st pattern TCU uniform is the exposed button closure on the pockets (not covered by a flap). The blouse features the 1st Cavalry Division patch, the U.S. Army insignia, and an identification patch.

FOR REENACTMENT?
The TCU uniform was approved for use in the U.S. Army in 1963. Initially, it was used primarily by special forces, but with the growing involvement of American troops in Vietnam, it began to replace the standard OG-107 uniform. It quickly became the standard uniform for operational forces operating in the Southeast Asian and Pacific regions at that time.
