Deco cartridge caliber .45 ACP (.45 Automatic Colt Pistol). The cartridges have no combat characteristics, do not contain any hazardous materials, and the primers are deactivated. This is ammunition of post-war production. Available without a permit and registration. This ammunition came into use in 1911 with the introduction of the Colt 1911 pistol to the US Army. It remained the basic military pistol ammunition until 1985, when it was replaced by 9x19 mm ammunition powering the newly selected basic army pistol - Beretta 92, better known under the military designation as the M9 pistol.

The .45 caliber pistol ammunition was used in the 20th century mainly in the US army. Both in the theater of operations during World War I and World War II, through the conflict in Korea and Vietnam, up to the invasion of Grenada in 1983.
