Replica of the sling for the Bren Mk2 light machine gun. Version stamped with the date 1944. This is the version of the belt introduced in 1938 and used practically throughout the entire war. The sling is based on a standard webbing rifle sling, to which two massive buckle hooks have been added.

FOR REENACTMENT?
Slings of this type were introduced to the British Army in April 1938. Interestingly, this was done four months before the Bren light machine gun was officially adopted into British service in August 1938.
