A faithful replica of the American bounding anti-personnel mine model AP M2A4. The replica is made of steel and can be disassembled (it has a removable cylinder cover and a removable imitation of fuse). It does not contain any explosives, it is just a dummy. The United States began developing bounding anti-personnel mines in the summer of 1940, inspired by events at the beginning of World War II. French officer Major Pierre Delalande, who had evacuated before the fall of France, arrived in the United States with plans of the French Mle 1939 mine. The M2 series of was based on that design.

  • New, unused item!
  • Perfect for reenactment!
  • There may be minor paint defects in replica!

FOR REENACTMENT?

These types of mines were used by the US Army during World War II. They were produced in the USA between 1942 and 1944. After the war, copies of the M2 mines were produced, among others, in Belgium (as PRB M966), Pakistan (P7), Portugal (M/966) and Taiwan. In the 1950s, the US armed forces replaced the M2 mines with the M16 model, which was based on the German Schrapnellmine 35.
