These documents were issued to soldiers awarded the Parachute Badge (standard and combat). The ID card badge was awarded from 1941 in the Polish Army and to soldiers of the Allied forces who completed a parachute training course. During World War II, a total of 6,536 Parachute Badges were awarded, including 468 to parachutists from other countries.
