FOR REENACTMENT
The Jägertruppe "Eichenblatt" badge of the German Jagers, also known as the "Rifleman's Badge" (Jäger abzeichen für feldmütze), was attached to the mountain cap and field cap. It was worn on the left side of the cap at ear level. The badge was introduced by decree of October 2, 1942, for deployed Jäger division units and their replacement units. If a soldier was transferred to another unit or branch of service, he had to return the badge.
