A replica of a set of French Mle.1935 "Cartouchière modèle 1935" ammunition pouches designed for carrying 7.5x54mm ammunition for the MAS 36 rifle. Made of thick, stiff, brown genuine leather. The pouches are divided into right and left sections, with the pouch itself also divided into two compartments (smaller and larger). This arrangement was intended to allow for easier positioning and adjustment of the pouch to the contours of the body. The D-rings and shoulder strap attachment points are made of blued steel. The buttons and mounting rivets are brass. Belt loops are sewn onto the rear wall, allowing the pouch to be attached to a main belt.

Magazine pouches of this type were standard equipment for newly formed and rearmed French units just before the outbreak of World War II and during the French campaign in 1940. Due to the slow pace of army rearming, they were used in 1940 alongside the older Mle.1915/16 leather magazine pouches for the Lebel and Berthier rifles. After the capitulation of France, significant quantities of this equipment were taken over and used by the German army (Wehrmacht) and the Vichy State forces.
