A replica of a small backpack/haversack model M-1961, commonly known as a "butt pack". The replica is made of green cotton canvas. It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap. The backpack features compression straps (allowing you to reduce the volume of the main compartment and prevent contents from flying around). The flap has a carrying handle and a compartment for an identification label. On the back wall there are metal clips (slides) for attaching the backpack to the main belt. The upper section features sewn-in straps with metal eyelets for attaching equipment harnesses or a shoulder strap. A sleeve made of polyester fabric is sewn onto the main compartment, creating a chimney that prevents the contents from getting lost and also allows the main compartment to be significantly stuffed.

FOR REENACTMENT?
In the early 1960s, the M-1961 field packs replaced the M-1956 model, which proved to be too small during use. The design of the new bag proved so successful that its design and concept, with varying degrees of variation, were continued in subsequent versions of the equipment (M1967, ALICE, and IIFS) until 1997, when a new Pouch Attachment Ladder System (PALS) was developed. Implemented in the MOLLE system, it replaced all previous equipment designs.
