A replica of the TCU "Tropical Combat Uniform" trousers, commonly known as "jungle fatigues." This replica represents the first pattern of the uniform, approved in 1963. The trousers are made of cotton poplin fabric in the OG-107 color scheme. The trousers feature two large cargo pockets at thigh height and two smaller internal pockets on the buttocks, all buttoned. Additionally, there are standard open pockets on the hips. A distinctive feature of the TCU 1st pattern uniform are exposed buttonholes on the pockets (not covered by a flap).

FOR REENACTMENT?
The TCU uniform was approved for use in the U.S. Army in 1963. Initially, it was used primarily by special forces, but with the growing involvement of American troops in Vietnam, it began to replace the standard OG-107 uniform. It quickly became the standard uniform for operational forces operating in the Southeast Asian and Pacific regions at that time.
