A replica of the American M-1966 tropical boots, the so-called "Jungle Boots", in a version with a Panama sole. The shoes have a rubber sole with a distinctive tread pattern of straight, angled grooves (this tread pattern pushes soft mud out of the sole, providing better traction on sticky clay or mud). The sole is glued to the upper of the shoe, which is made of black patent leather at the base. The tongue and shaft, sewn to the lower leather section, are made of nylon fabric. The shoes have leather reinforcement in the area of the lacing holes and two drainage holes (allowing water to drain from the inside of the shoe) in the lower part.

The M-1966 tropical boots were developed in 1965 and immediately put into service with US forces in the Asia-Pacific region. The first models used Vibram soles. A version with a Panama sole (although sole was developed in 1944) did not enter service until 1969.
