The SA (Sturmabteilung) dagger is a ceremonial melee weapon in the form of a dagger, introduced in December 1933 for members of the NSDAP paramilitary militia (the so-called Brownshirts). The dagger's design was based on a 15th-century Swiss hunting dagger (Holbein type).
