The subject of the offer is a replica of the American raincoat in the "Lightweight Poncho" version. It's made of rip-stop polyester fabric coated with polyvinyl chloride. When worn over your body, the poncho not only protects against rain and wind like a jacket, but if necessary, it can also be used to build an improvised shelter from rain or sun. The poncho has snaps that allow you to create a sleeve for your sleeping bag or, if necessary, connect two ponchos to create an improvised tent. Thanks to the compression sack, it takes up minimal space when packed.

FOR REENACTMENT?
The Lightweight Poncho was developed in 1966. It replaced the so-called Heavy-Duty Poncho, which was heavily criticized for being too heavy when wet and for its shiny coating, which, when wet, stood out strongly against the surrounding vegetation, thus losing its camouflage properties and revealing soldiers' positions. The new version of the poncho (although testing revealed a flaw in the material coating, which dissolved when exposed to repellents used in tropical regions) proved much lighter and more compact than the previous version and was accepted into service in 1967.
