FOR REENACTMENT?
These types of patches were worn by soldiers of the Armenian Legion, one of the numerous units that comprised the so-called Eastern Legions of the Wehrmacht. As with the Cossacks, this was not a single division, but rather a collection of battalions dispersed throughout various German army structures. The Legion was officially established on July 4, 1942. The main training center was located in Radom and Puławy (in the General Government). Over time, due to the low level of command confidence in the Caucasus units, many battalions were transferred from the Eastern Front to occupied France and the Netherlands to support the occupation operations.
